ISO/FEM forks in standard sizes for daily, heavy-duty use on forklifts and industrial trucks, as well as pallet forks for applications such as tractors with front loaders, wheel loaders, or telehandlers. Our high-quality forks with ISO 2A suspension offer impressive load-bearing capacity and a significantly extended service life.

The specially developed Optima fork heel provides an additional wear zone, ensuring a service life up to three times longer. While conventional forks have a wear zone of only 4 mm, our high-quality forks feature a reinforced fork heel with a 12 mm wear zone.

An innovative compression-bending process significantly increases load capacity in the most sensitive area—the fork heel. The result:

higher fatigue strength
up to 15% less deflection under load

Thanks to modern heat treatment and the use of high-quality VQ32+ steel, the forks are ideally suited for dynamic and intensive loads.

The forks have been tested in accordance with ISO 2330 and achieve 1 million load cycles at 25% overload—clear proof of their extreme durability.

In addition, specially welded fork hooks with high-quality locking mechanisms ensure a secure hold on the fork carriage, even under the harshest operating conditions.

Which machines can ISO / FEM forks be mounted on?

ISO forks fit all vehicles and pallet forks with ISO fork carrier profiles. You can identify these by a 20° bevel in the profile and the fork hooks. Depending on the load capacity, there are various ISO classes with different fork hook spacings and adjusted ground clearance. Please refer to our PDF download “ISO fork dimensions” for the dimensions. Generally, ISO forks are used on the following machines: forklifts and other industrial trucks, tractors with front loaders, farm loaders, wheel loaders, and telehandlers.

What is the wear limit for forks?

Fork wear must not exceed 10% of the nominal thickness, as this already reduces the load-bearing capacity of the fork by 20%.

How long must the forks be?

The fork length should be selected so that goods or pallets are fully supported by the forks; for Euro pallets, for example, at least 1,200 mm. If the forks are too short, there is a risk of the load tipping over; if they are too long, they restrict the machine’s maneuverability.

What does the load center (LC) indicate in relation to the specified load capacity of the forks?

The load center is the horizontal distance from the back of the fork to a fixed load point. With a load center of 500 mm and a load capacity of 2,000 kg, the forks can safely carry a load of 2,000 kg at a distance of 500 mm from the back of the fork. Closer to the back of the fork, the load capacity is higher and decreases progressively toward the tip of the fork. Therefore, positioning the load close to the back of the fork is crucial.

Instructions for assembly, safety and use

Forks are safety components. For your own safety, please follow these instructions!

Always lift loads using both forks; never use a single fork (whether for partial or full loads)!
Perform regular visual inspections, and immediately take any damaged forks out of service!
Pay attention to the load capacity and the distance from the load’s center of gravity. Using the forks until the forklift tips over is prohibited and dangerous!
Forks are not designed to withstand lateral forces; therefore, avoid driving in at an angle or applying lateral pressure!
The use of rotating forks is not permitted! Rotating forks are special designs.
Under no circumstances use forks as reversing forks with the blade facing upward. Risk of breakage! Reversing forks are special designs.
Do not drop loads onto the forks!
Do not transport molten materials!
Do not transport people on the forks!
When operating a forklift, the locks must always be engaged to prevent lateral movement; otherwise, there is a risk of the load slipping off!
Do not pick up loads with the tip or lift them using the tilt cylinder! Risk of overload!
Have the UVV inspections required by law (including crack testing) performed regularly by a qualified service provider!
Forks with longer tine lengths generally require heavier-duty construction due to the risk of overload.
Under no circumstances should you make any changes or modifications to the forks yourself!
Welding or heat treatment can destroy the material structure and cause the forks to break!
Do not weld on worn fork tines (ISO 5057)!
Forks must be lowered during entry into and exit from the load/load carrier to such an extent that they neither scrape against the load carrier nor the ground, nor come into contact with the load/load carrier or the ground.
