ISO/FEM forks in standard sizes for daily, heavy-duty use on forklifts and industrial trucks, as well as pallet forks for tractors with front loaders, wheel loaders, or telehandlers. Our durable forks with ISO 3A mounting offer impressive load-bearing capacity and a significantly extended service life.

The specially developed Optima fork heel features an additional wear zone, thereby enabling a service life up to three times longer. While conventional forklift forks have a wear zone of only 4 mm, our high-quality forks offer a reinforced fork heel with a 12 mm wear zone.

An innovative compression-bending process significantly improves load-bearing capacity in the most sensitive area—the fork heel. The result:

higher continuous load capacity
up to 15% less deflection under load

Thanks to modern heat treatment and the use of high-quality VQ32+ steel, the forks are ideally suited for dynamic and demanding loads.

The forks have been tested in accordance with ISO 2330 and achieve 1 million load cycles at 25% overload—clear proof of their high durability.

In addition, specially welded fork hooks with a robust locking mechanism ensure a secure hold on the fork carriage, even under extreme operating conditions.

Which machines are ISO/FEM forks suitable for?

ISO/FEM forks are suitable for all vehicles and pallet forks with an ISO fork carriage profile. These systems can be identified by the characteristic 20° bevel on the profile and fork hooks. Depending on the respective load capacity, different ISO classes are available with varying hook spacings and adapted ground clearance. Forklift trucks and industrial trucks
Tractors with front loaders Farm loaders
Wheel loaders
Telescopic handlers

What is the maximum permissible wear on forks?

The maximum permissible wear on fork tines is 10% of the original nominal thickness. Even at this level, the load capacity of the fork tines is reduced by up to 20%. Regular inspection is therefore important to ensure safety and load-bearing capacity in the long term.

What length should forks be?

The length of the forks should always be chosen to suit the load being handled. Pallets and goods must rest completely on the forks – for Euro pallets, for example, on tines at least 1,200 mm long. Forks that are too short increase the risk of the load tipping over, whilst forks that are too long can impair the machine’s manoeuvrability.

What does the load centre of gravity (LSP) mean for forks?

The load centre of gravity describes the horizontal distance between the fork back and the defined centre of gravity of the load. Example: With a load capacity of 2,000 kg and a load centre of gravity of 500 mm, the forks can safely lift a load of 2,000 kg at a distance of 500 mm from the fork back. The closer the load is to the fork back, the higher the possible load capacity. This decreases accordingly towards the fork tips. Therefore, the load should always be positioned as close as possible to the fork back.

Instructions for assembly, safety and use

Forks are safety components. For your own protection, please follow these instructions!

Always lift loads using both forks; never use a single fork (whether for partial or full loads)!
Perform regular visual inspections; if damaged, take the forks out of service immediately!
Pay attention to the load capacity and load center distance. Using the forks to the point of tipping the forklift is prohibited and dangerous!
Forks are not designed for lateral forces; therefore, avoid driving in at an angle or applying lateral pressure!
The use of rotating attachments is not permitted! Forks for rotating attachments are special designs.
Under no circumstances use forks as reversing forks with the blade facing upward. Risk of breakage! Reversing forks are special designs.
Do not drop loads onto the forks!
Do not transport molten materials!
Do not transport people on the forks!
When operating a forklift, the locking mechanisms must always be engaged to prevent lateral movement; otherwise, there is a risk of the load slipping off!
Do not pick up loads using the tip of the fork or lift them using the tilt cylinder! Risk of overloading!
Have the UVV inspections (including crack testing) required by law carried out regularly by a specialist company!
Forks with longer tine lengths generally require a higher load rating, as there is a risk of overloading.
Under no circumstances should you carry out any alterations or modifications to the forks yourself!
Welding or heat treatment can lead to the destruction of the material structure and the breakage of the forks!
Do not weld on worn forks (ISO 5057)!
When moving the forks in and out of the load or load carrier, they must be lowered to such an extent that they do not scrape against the load carrier or the ground, nor come into contact with the load, load carrier or ground.
